Amardip’s Trip to Canada (Part 3)

8:43 AM, April 22: I wake up at my Canadian friend’s house, I’m surprised to find out that I am the last one awake. I discover that I have had some pretty bad headaches these past few days, just thinking about them made my head throb. 10:47 AM: After showering and all that, I went and had a paratha (stuffed pita flatbread) prepared by my friend’s grandmother, we picked up my other cousin, Gurslamath, and then we hit the road for CN Tower (one of the tallest structures in the world!)
12:34 PM: We get to Toronto, Ontario, then we find a parking space and we leave and walk to the tower. When we finnaly get there I realized that there was a Ripley’s Aquarium there and declared that after we were done at CN Tower, we would go to the aquarium. When we get there we immediately by tickets to go up. When we get in the elevator we have Windows on the sides so we can see the ground shrinking. We were traveling at 15 mph or 22 kilometers per hour and our ears popped less than half of the way up. It took us fifty-eight seconds to get up there, but who’s counting? My mom got really, really scared and she hugged me really tight. When we got out to the observation deck, a telescope thingy cheated me out of 3 of Canada’s coin currency. We got to go to the highest level guests can go to and got to look outside and touch the flies OUTSIDE because they put chain link where the windows were and it was just enough to put our fingers through and we got to breath the fresh air outside. It wasn’t hard to breathe even though I was high I the sky.
2:34 PM: We get out of the CN Tower and head into Ripley’s Aquarium, it was AWESOME! I got to touch Horseshoe Crab’s shells, look at the massive (to a human) Sand Tiger Shark, feel a Moon Jellyfish, figure out why fish didn’t freeze, find out my net worth if I were a fish, cause a tsunami, see pictures of some of the most dangerous sea creatures on earth, see a Devil Scorpionfish, and do much more, but I’m pretty sure I have serious short term memory loss so I forgot, sorry!

Amardip’s Trip to Canada (Part 2)

8:34 AM, April 21: I wake up at the Quality Inn. My parents were already awake and my dad had already taken a shower. It took an hour for my family and I to wake up and get ready. It would have only been 40 minutes if I didn’t spend 20 minutes trying to get connection and blog. When we finnaly got ready and gotten downstairs, we realized that breakfast hours were 6:00-9:00 in the morning and we were late. We stopped at the closest gas station and bought doughnuts, orange juice, coffee, and some breakfast sandwiches, then we hit the road.

11:27 AM: We have just crossed the Canadian border!!!

1:42 PM: We meet up with my cousin, Neeraj, after we ate an Indian lunch in an Indian restaurant in an Indian outlet.

3:12 PM: We reach Niagra Falls, it was AMAZING. On the walk back to my car, which must’ve been 3 miles, my feet ache like heck and I slurp on a slushie, munch on some Funions, and eat some Peachio’s.

Amardip’s Trip to Canada (Part 1)

4:23 PM, April 20: I have just left for Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
5:37 PM, April 20: We just made our first stop at a travel port, I got a cup of Bang’s Root Beer. I had expieremented and figured out if you mix the blue Powerade and the original Mountain Dew it makes the Taco Bell favorite, Mountain Dew Baja Blast.

My father just announced that we weren’t stopping for the next 5 hours. Those 5 hours of my life made this exciting trip sort of miserable.

11:20 PM: The time has changed now that I am in Flint, Michigan. In Knoxville, it would be 10:20 PM. Anyway I got stuck in a traffic jam thanks to a reckless driver who had gotten in a car accident a few hundred feet up the road.

12:14 AM: After some of the worst 54 minutes of my life we finnaly got out of the jam and checked in to a hotel. It’s name was Quality Hotel.

So this is pretty much what happened on the (pretty much) first day of my trip to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Year of Billy Miller

Today, we finished The Year of Billy Miller! We LOVED this book!

Here is a question for you to think about…

On page 10, Billy’s papa encourages him with the thought that his second-grade year will be “the Year of Billy Miller.” Then on page 229, Billy tells his mother, “This is the Year of Billy Miller.” What lessons does Billy learn throughout the book that help him grow from a scared second grader to a confident boy?

Billy did many things to stay up

Billy did many things to try to stay up all night. First he tried to drink coffee before he left the restaurant. I know this because he is trying to stay up all night. Next, In his mind he created  a fake monster under his bed. He try to scare himself so he woden’t go back to bed. I know this because he went to sals bed room. Last he played with the drop sisters with sal. I  know this because sal said lets play with drop sisters.

What would your plan to stay up be?

Billys plan to stay up all night by Raylee

Billy did many things to stay up all night. First, one thing Billy did to stay up all night is, when he asked if he could have coffee. He wanted coffee because the babysitter said coffee will make you stay up all night. Next, Billy tried scaring himself to stay up all night to. Billy scared himself with a monster and he said to himself it’s teeth were as sharp as needles and pimples as eyes. Last, Billy went into his little sisters room. Billy went into his little sisters room so he can get out of his room after he told himself about the monster.

How many ways are you you alike Billy and Sal?
